Frequently Asked Questions
How long does biofeedback treatment take?
The length for biofeedback training depends on you, your needs, and your specific problem. Biofeedback training usually ranges between 4 to 12 sessions. Frequently after the first or second session, we will have a better idea if this treatment will work for you. Ultimately you decide the length of treatment.

How long are the sessions?
Each session typically lasts 45 to 55 minutes. Visits are initially scheduled at weekly intervals.

Will my insurance cover biofeedback?
Insurance companies may or may not cover the cost of biofeedback training. It is your responsibility to verify that biofeedback is a covered benefit on your plan. You should contact your insurance provider for any questions about coverage. The codes used for a biofeedback visit are 96150 and 96152 or 90901. It is helpful to give your insurance company these numbers when you contact them.

Will you bill my insurance for biofeedback?
The Boulder Biofeedback Center works in collaboration with Dr. David Thayer, M.D. and the Thayer Group, P.C. This allows us to bill insurance companies directly for your care.

Do you accept credit cards?
No, I do not. Payment is due at the time of service. Cash or checks are accepted. Superbills, to submit for deductibles and health plan reimbursement, are available upon request. The Boulder Biofeedback Center, LLC tries to keep services affordable. Kate will work with highly motivated people with limited financial resources.

Is biofeedback covered by Worker’s Compensation?
Yes it is. But before I can see you for a worker’s comp. injury, your doctor needs to order biofeedback and it must be approved by your worker's compensation insurance plan.

How do I make an appointment?
Just call me at 303-665-7047.
